Full Gear was a great show I was not super invested in going into it. Like all AEW PPVs though, it delivered. I'm not even sure the matches I'm rating are the best of the show. Brisco and Fletcher, Hangman and Joe... both kinda would need a rewatch for me to have clear thoughts on. anyways...

Blood and Guts was a great TV episode of AEW and while Hobbs vs the Hanger was cool, I mostly have thoughts about the two cage matches...

The felt like the opposite end of the dividing line that was Forbidden door. Very little in this show was exceptional but it crossed some threshold that Forbidden Door didn't where I didn't feel let down. This was a great show, but the greatness was spread pretty evenly throughout. This might have been the best spread of women matches at an AEW PPV, which might be bumping it up for me? The tag matches were also all great, but currently like AEW has the tag TALENT, their tag STORIES don't carry the same weight, so they never hit as hard for me as they could.

Let's go back a bit and start with 5star. I didn't meticulously rate everything, but a few things definitely stood out.

A good show by AEW standards is a disappointment. This is the price one pays for keeping the bar so high. There wasn't a single bad match on the show -- everything was good! Yet, things felt... lacking.

What a show... Here are my reviews for the Women's Gauntlet, Omega vs Okada, and Hanger vs Mox. As usual I'm only going to review the matches I had strong feelings about. Doesn't mean the other matches are worse (I need to think more about Mercedes vs Toni for example), but I don't have a strong opinion yet.
