Revolution

An incredible show, again defined by blood. The best match, for my money is a toss up between Mariah vs Toni and Kyle vs Ospreay, but I'll go through everything...

  • I'll be honest I don't give a fuck about those Costco people like they're fine I'm sure the match was fine but like whatever I took a nap and got dinner.

  • Hangman vs MJF was really quite good, but had a hard time comparing to what would come after. Still, this match built like a short version of a New Japan match, being exciting by the end, and complete with gnarly bumps. Hangman pulling out the Fallen Angel was emotionally great and physically brutal for MJF.

  • Momo vs Mercedes felt like a really good TV match. Same goes for Okada vs Brody(I'll do this one out of order since they're basically the same). I did like how over Momo was and it sucks she hurt herself, but with both her and Brody you knew there was no chance. As good as you could reasonably expect given the booking.

  • Swerve vs Ricochet reminds me how mad I am that heel Ricochet works. What a little fucker!! I hate him! He's so good. A great match with some incredibly clever false finishes that almost got lost in the shuffle due to the next three matches.

  • The Hurt Syndiicate vs The Outrunners ... Oh wait this happened. I remember nothing about this match. No, I mean the matches AFTER this.

  • Toni Storm vs Mariah May like... oh god Mariah coming out in a wedding veil got me. Her twisted knife murderer love-and-hate feelings for her rivals is so good. She's both so hot and so unwell. I love how Mariah is crazy without being crazy.

I had a lot of criticisms of Mariah's turn, writing a whole frustrated piece on it. I stand by it, but once you ignore the turn itself, the two as blood rivals has been incredible. They fight like it's hate fucking. I noticed how the two tend to bleed very differently... Toni bleeds like its death, and Mariah bleeds with hate. This match fucking whipped ass.

  • Kenny vs Takashita is probably someone's favorite match on the show. Incredibly technical and physical. It's good to see Kenny with a belt again. I liked how this ended in a simple pin, with no big moves coming out. They're saving up for something...

  • Ospreay vs Fletcher had the sickest most pervert tack bump I've ever seen. This whole show was just low-key horny in general. Kyle is such a gross little pervert. I loved the gross violence and emotion. Kyle carried a lot of that aspect on his back. Him screaming about hating Ospreay was just... beautiful.

Bully Ray said something about Punk vs Seth being a REAL cage match but judging by the last match they had I'm guessing nothing actually happened. It's hard to have an emotional grudge fight in a cage when neither person is likeable. Punk at least isn't supposed to be, but I'm still not sure what Seth's excuse is.

I have two enemies in this world. Seth Rollins and UFO's Star Waspir

  • Adam Copeland vs Moxley. No fucking way I'm calling him Cope come on man what a bad name.
What a... boring match. These two had no chemistry. Even storyline wise. All Adam did was undercut the impossible task Moxley was given, with a story designed to go nowhere. I'm not a Deathriders hater like everyone else. I think it's gone on too long, but I don't mind Moxley yelling at clouds. Him having to play cowardly heel though? Not my jam. This story was at its best when it was about violence.

Unfortunately a WWE guy is the worst opponent you can give Mox, who just plays along but doesn't have his heart in it. Meanwhile Copeland lacks the vigor for real brutality Moxley has. They met each other half way, and the results were boring. Easily the most disappointing match of the show, though it wasn't bad.

I'm glad we see where things are going. Swerve will be coming for Mox. Clearly this is going for Swerve vs Hangman again. Adam vs Christian. Also probably setting up for title vs title for Omega and Okada. This show seemed like it was laying a lot of groundwork. It's fine, I can wait for Mox to lose the title. The main title scene is only a small part of the show. I'm mostly curious where our big losers go from here. Kyle and Takashita can lick their wounds with ton, but where does Mariah and MJF go from here?
